ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

On 15 and 16 August 2025, we'll be celebrating a festival of music and art in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg once again: MS DOCKVILLE is entering its 18th round! Right on the Elbe, in the heart of the harbour and yet only 10 minutes by S-Bahn from the central station - it's going to be wonderful!

What can you expect? Over 100 acts, bands and DJs on 10 stages - from the massive main stage to hidden spots with a club vibe. There's a lot to discover musically: Indie, hip hop, pop and electronic sounds. Alongside your favorite artists and international headliners, you’ll also find loads of up-and-coming acts as well as hidden gems.

But the MS DOCKVILLE is more than just concerts and DJ sets: Over 150 programme items with art, readings, workshops and creative experiences. The grounds will be filled with murals, installations and more than 50 other works - an open-air gallery you can wander through.

Around 25.000 people celebrate together each day - whether on the dance floor, in the campsite or in the mainstage front row. The vibe? Euphoric and relaxed at the same time. To ensure everyone feels comfortable, there's a well thought-out awareness concept and plenty space to retreat and socialise.

The MS DOCKVILLE is more than just a festival for music and art - it will be the best days of your summer, we promise 🧡

If you don't have any tickets yet, you can buy them here in the shop - either a weekend ticket for you or a clique ticket for you and up to 8 friends. You can easily add camping to your shopping basket for just €60 per person. If you want to travel by van, you can also get a van ticket

FAQ

Here you will find the answers to all the questions we are often asked. This will probably also answer your question.

  • Don’t worry, we’re far from done with our lineup – we’ll be announcing more acts for the next MS DOCKVILLE gradually. If you don’t want to miss any new additions, make sure to follow us on Instagram or sign up for our newsletter. That way, you’ll always be in the loop.

  • Before the festival, we’ll release the day schedule and timetable. You can find it on our website, Instagram, and in the MS DOCKVILLE app. There, you’ll be able to see all the playtimes and start planning who you want to catch and when.

  • At the moment, we only have weekend tickets for both days. We’ll be releasing day tickets later on, so you can choose to come only on Friday or only on Saturday – the exact timing isn’t set yet. As soon as we have news, you’ll find out on our website, social media, or via our newsletter.

  • The exact start date for sales is still to be determined – but if you want, you can sign up for our newsletter, and we’ll send all the info about when and how the WH tickets go on sale straight to your inbox.

Important: Only people registered in the zip codes 21107, 21109, 20539 (Veddel) (and who can prove this with an ID) are eligible to buy these tickets.

  • Because this way, we can take the festival to the next level and meet your requests for cheaper tickets. We’re focusing our program on two days – making these two days and nights even better.

The tickets are now much cheaper. We started with €99 in the early bird price category, and we’re still well below the ticket prices we’d have to charge for a three- or four-day festival.

Festivals have changed: fewer people camp, more people come for just one or two days – especially at an urban festival like MS DOCKVILLE. We’re keeping what works for us and for you; but we’re also adapting. And we have big plans for the lineup, the festival grounds, and the whole experience. It’s gonna be awesome!

  • Unfortunately, there won’t be a DOCKVILLE THURSDAY  in 2025 – the festival will start for campers on Friday. Don’t worry, though – you can still arrive early and set up your camp.

The pre-party for campers is not happening this year because it would create significant additional costs (setup, security, programming) that would only benefit campers. Instead, we can invest that saved money into Friday and Saturday – so everyone gets more out of it!

The campsite will remain open long enough on Sunday for you to sleep in and pack up at a relaxed pace.

  • We’re always looking for ticket helpers – people who work in exchange for a ticket. As soon as the application form is open, you’ll find it here.

Additionally, our food stand and bar partner, Stereolicious, has job openings – you can find all the info here: https://stereolicious.de/jobs/

Please note, we no longer have volunteer positions like we did in the past with MS ARTVILLE.

General Information

Here are all the rules and information you should know for your visit. We’ll be adding to this section step by step – if you don’t find your answer now, feel free to check back here before the festival.

  • There are accessible grandstands and toilets on the festival grounds. We want to make sure every guest can move around freely at MS DOCKVILLE. The festival area is a previously unused, now greened industrial site, which we’ve optimized as much as possible for everyone. However, not all paths are paved.

As a rough guide, you can refer to last year’s accessible site plan, which will be similar for 2025. We’ll upload a new 2025 plan here soon.

If you have a “B” listed on your ID, you can bring a companion for free. Just buy your ticket and show your ID at the entrance.

  • You’ll be able to pay with cash or card everywhere at MS DOCKVILLE. There will likely be an ATM on-site as well.

  • You can easily and affordably buy your tickets in our shop: www.kopfundsteine.shop/category/msdockville
You can also purchase tickets for MS DOCKVILLE on DICE.FM and Infield.

The tickets are not personalized, so they can be resold. But: there have been issues with scammers in the past. Stay alert and don’t get ripped off. If you want to be safe, buying through our ticket shop is the best protection.

  • We have a comprehensive awareness concept to ensure that everyone feels safe at the festival. If you experience discrimination or boundary violations, you can turn to the Awareness Team. They can be reached via phone, SMS, and WhatsApp. We’ll add the phone number and more details here soon.

  • Filming and photography will take place at the festival for documentation and marketing purposes. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to this. Our photographers are instructed to ask for your permission before taking close-up or individual shots.

Professional recording equipment like DSLR cameras or interchangeable lenses is not allowed on-site without approval from MSDV. Small analog or disposable cameras are fine.

If you'd like to capture MS DOCKVILLE: generally, we reach out to photographers, filmmakers, and content creators ourselves, but you can apply for a photo pass via this form.

  • Children under 12 are not allowed on the festival grounds. Teens aged 16 and over can attend without a guardian until midnight. We’ll soon upload a form for supervisory consent ("parental consent form").

You can download the "parental consent form" here.

  • MS DOCKVILLE offers a diverse and extensive food selection. All the food is vegetarian or vegan – for sustainability reasons, we do not sell meat.

The drink selection is also vast – in addition to beer and soft drinks, there’s a wide variety of other beverages. We also have many non-alcoholic options!

There are also options for those with allergies. If you need to bring your own food, we have a solution for that. Just send us an email at info@kopfundsteine.de.

  • In our Freihafen area, our favorite brands, shops, and initiatives are showcasing their goods – here, you can browse, discover, and find your new favorite accessory.

Want to showcase your label, company, or association here? We’re now accepting applications for Freihafen. For all the details, check out our Instagram or news posts on the website.

ARRIVAL

Getting to the MSDV site is easy – no need for a car. It’s better to take public transport or come by bike.

  • Schlengendeich 12, 21107 Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg

  • If you're arriving by public transport, take the S3 or S5 towards Buxtehude/Neugraben/Stade and ride until Wilhelmsburg. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk.

  • The area is fully enclosed, and there are no parking spaces. Please leave your cars at home. If you’re being dropped off by car, there are drop-off zones where the car can stop, and you can unload your things. However, parking is not allowed.

  • Provide the address "Schluisgrove/Schlengendeich." Use the drop-off area at Schluisgrove.

  • Getting to the festival site by bike is easy, and you’ll enjoy one of the most beautiful bike tours in Hamburg. You can go through the old Elbtunnel; however, after 6:00 PM, there might be long waiting times. So, we recommend using an alternative route, like through Hafencity and over the Freihafen-Elbbrücke.
We’ll provide detailed routes before the festival.
There will be free bike parking at the site, and we also have a bike wardrobe – where you can leave your bike for a small fee.

Camping

Our campsite is probably the most beautiful in festival Germany. To camp, you’ll need a camping upgrade, which you can easily add to your cart.

  • The campsite will open on Friday, and you can stay until Sunday. We’ll share the exact times with you soon!

  • This year, we’ll have a shower camp with all the amenities, and it will be free to use – just like the excellent ceramic toilets!

  • There are supermarkets, pharmacies, and snack bars in Wilhelmsburg.

  • We’ll update this section with all the info about what you can bring and what’s not allowed.

In general: no glass bottles, confetti, large sound systems, or generators are allowed at the campsite. Gas cartridges for camping stoves are allowed, up to a size of 450g. You can bring your own food, but there will also be a breakfast stand and other food options.

  • This year, you can again come with your van or camper. For this, you’ll need a van ticket, which you can find in our shop (all information and conditions are there as well). You can also pitch a tent next to your van.
Important: the van ticket is valid for your vehicle. You’ll need a weekend ticket and a camping upgrade for each person.
