ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The MS DOCKVILLE is a three-day festival for music and art in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg - in 2025 it will take place for the 16th time from August 15-16. Located directly on the Elbe and yet only 10 minutes by S-Bahn from the main train station, the festival has its very own charm: a surprising area full of art and loving details, an enthusiastic-emphatic atmosphere with a total of over 60,000 visitors and a colorful, loud program taking place on over 12 stages with over 100 bands, musicians and DJs and a total of over 200 program items.
The MS DOCKVILLE has long made a name for itself musically: a diverse lineup that is not limited to any genre (but focuses on indie, hip hop and electronic music) brings together newcomers, favorite artists, international stars and insider tips - and offers workshops, readings, gimmicks and countless new inspirations in addition to the music. In total, there are over 200 program items that extend from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning.
Even though the MS DOCKVILLE is one of the most beautiful places in Hamburg, its appeal extends far beyond the Hanseatic city - every year, the festival attracts international guests as well as people from Wilhelmsburg, is visited by campers and day visitors alike and celebrates a three-day declaration of love for music, art and discovery. Equal booking, an awareness concept and socio-political commitment set standards without losing the feelings of freedom and hedonism.
